Is a very rare video where many of the things that "You've never heard of" are actually things that we weren't fully aware of. Love learning about neat little things like these, even if I have no use for them now.

ok, that USB to SATA cable is a god send. I have a crappier, more ghetto version, but yeah, holy smokes has it saved me while doing PC builds in the past.

This should be a weekly, or at least a monthly thing Mike. I'm sure there a lot of cool little tech items that most people haven't heard of.

I was curious, but yes the ECP01 is overcurrent protected. Otherwise it would be really sketchy to bring your PSU power outside your case.

9:23 try cleaning the area with an alcohol swab, let it dry and then attach it. Apply some pressure for about 30 seconds. 👍👍

I just ripped out a silverstone SFF PSU on a rebuild because the cables were too stiff to route well in my NR200P. Went with an evga because even though it just has traditional braided cables, they were so much easier to work with. Seeing these silverstone cables sold separately is a hilarious grift. Essentially "sure you paid a cool 150 for an otherwise mediocre PSU, now cough up another 30 funbux for something that we shoulda put in the box!".

Yeah I think I'll look elsewhere from now on.

Oh this was awesome. One thing you might be interested in is noctua has physical switches that plug in to a normal electrical outlet for pwm fans, so if you’re building a fan for a cabinet with a pc/Xbox/ps/whatever in it you can tap a switch on/off in the cabinet.

Gotta love Silverstone and their accessories that you never knew you needed.

I use that SABRENT cable to hook up an SSD to my PS4 Pro. It helps a lot with the loading times and texture pop-in.

VHB Tape for mounting small items and SDDs (no need for bulky drive cages, and more placement options); and PCIe x1 or x4 to NVMe cards - Sure its not using the full bandwith of the SSD, but comparable to SATA drives and can give extra storage in a neater form and doesn't need extra cables to be run (and most ATX boards will have at least one of these slots free!

More of these! I love the idea of things I could pop into my PC on internal headers.
