I've seen a lot of people say the changelings can't get love while attacking the city. but i think they mean constant love. when you eat a meal, you still love your friends and family. when you talk to someone, you still love your friends and family. when you town is getting attacked by form changing monsters, you still love your friends and family. it's not momentary love, not what's on your mind at a moment, but what you feel at all times. they don't feed of of love, the momentary emotion, the feed of of love, the quality. When the episodes had just come out, I actually saw a theory on Tumblr about the teleporting and it seemed pretty reasonable.
Chrysalis can teleport Cadance and Twilight down to the caves, cause she knows where point A (example, the throneroom) and point B (the caves) are exactly. Cadance and Twilight can't teleport back, cause they don't know exactly how far down below the castle they are, so they don't know how far there is between point A and point B. As well as I remember, we haven't seen Twilight teleport from a place to another where we haven't seen her before, so she knows where point A & B is at and how far.
