Can I just say that the "Power Ponies" episode is exactly like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle:
Character (Spike) reads a riddle, everyone (Mane 6 + Spike) gets sucked into the game (comic book), become the avatars (Power Ponies + Hum Drum), and must save Jumanji (Maretroplis), defeat Van Pelt (Mane-iac), return the Jaguars Eye (Electro Orb) in order to get out of Jumanji (Maretroplis).

You know, this episode gets a lot of flack and I won't pretend I don't get it - Several minutes of Spike saying he's useless gets annoying after a while (Plus all he has to do is embrace his inner dragon greed and he'll turn in to a giant town destroying dragon) (God, now who's the pony nerd...) - But There's some really fun action in this episode, a delightfully over the top villain and some good jokes so it's far from the weakest of pony episode.

Somewhere in here is a decent Megan/Charlotte episode trying to get out and I for one really miss Charlotte, she was a really dark and funny writer, I hope she returns someday - I miss Meghan too but she's making the movie so there's no doubt it will be glorious.

Well, I thought you did a pretty good job at pointing out this episode's mistakes! There were a lot of things some people hated about this episode that you told us about in shorter time than The Mysterious Mr. Enter did almost 3 years ago. I guess I just liked it before because of its superhero theme, but this time the episode sins were really something not minor. And that final sin at 2:56 really sums this up, but Equestria Games did the "Spike is the only one who can save the day" thing way better because of the magic-disabling spell rule and not because everyone else was too stupid to master their powers, so you may want to get through 2 episodes a month if you want to get to that quicker. It's only 14 episodes away from the last one you did. It's okay if you keep doing 1 episode a month, but just make sure you're not more than 78 episodes behind. April 26, 2017, 8:47am

well to be fair, the mane six failing at the beginning was more due to the fact that they didn't know what was going on than through incompetence. they didn't know who the power ponies were and what they could do, so expecting them to control their powers perfectly, despite not even knowing what those are, is a bit nitpicky don't you think? i mean, once spike actually told them what their respective doppelgängers could do, they did get the hang of it rather quickly.

Sure, it could have been done better, but saying it's bad it's kind of a stretch
