Our mission is to encourage, empower, and inspire people to live a life that Blesses God, in accordance with His word. As the Psalmist proclaims, "Bless God in the great congregation, the Lord, O you who are of Israel's fountain" (Psalm 68:26 ESV), and "Every day will I bless Thee; and I will praise Thy name forever and ever" (Psalm 145:2 KJV). Just as Simeon, after encountering Jesus, "took him up in his arms and blessed God" (Luke 2:28 ESV), we seek to lead others in a life of stewardship, relevant engagement, and practical living that honors and blesses the Lord.

Every Christian YouTuber replays this clip and I always get fooled thinking that maybe JP and WLC had a new dialogue.

Gotta give JBP credit for his honesty. Not many would be willing to admit what he's trying to do and admit that there are limits.

There are videos of JP talking talking about the 'idea of Christ' and it literally brings him to tears, like the Spirit is knocking and he feels it just come over him, then he returns to rationalism. In this interview he speaks of a dream he had where these 'kings' of different ages appear and are fighting each other for dominance, then walks in the 'king of kings' and they all bow, but then he reconciles that to the 'transcendent good' instead of seeing God is literally giving him dreams to support that Jesus is Lord. He is so close if he can get out of his own way, just like many of us were.

I think Jordan is actively trying keep his faith non public.

Dr Craig is the a modern day GOAT

Rarely does Jordan Peterson run into an intellect like William Lane Craig. He's one of the rare dudes who can easily match Peterson. Even on an evolutionary worldview of morality, naturalists are still making the case, though they are blind to it, that morality is weaved into the very fabric of reality through evolution.

Matthew 25: 1-13
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

JP isn't beginning to admit anything. He's been saying this all along.
People just refuse to actually listen to him. It's like people just want him to be in their camp of how to talk about things, or else they'll just ignore him.
Well he's effective precisely because of this refusal to simplify and just say what those already convinced want to hear.

"To admire is to want to copy. What do you want to copy? What is most admirable."

Circular.

I believe J Warner Wallace is better suited to appear on JRE. His Christian Apologetics is a blue-collar approach whereas William Lane Craig is more philosophical. I think Joe would appeal to the gospel through the lens of a homicide detective rather through the lens of a Theologian.

Jordan is a Jungian disciple and an admirer of Nietzsche and Dostoevsky. He’s a pantheist at heart which makes him Christianity friendly. 🙏

Jordan peterson did a podcast with theo von, and jordan brought up the story of Job, highly recommend.

Yes, I think that video is several years old. I think, at minimum, he’s now a committed theist, and based on recent interviews I’ve seen, I’m pretty sure he now considers himself a Christian, even if in ways that are a bit unconventional.

Of course Dr. Craig was the guy that was able to turn Peterson from a naturalist to a theist

Jordan and WLC are repairing the bridge between science and religion, one started from one side and one from the other, looks like they're starting to see each other.

This was the one where WLC debated Pinker's wife and he refuted Pinker's wife by quoting Pinker to her!

I would like to mention that JP is a theist and heavily supports Christian views. In the video, he is just talking about which perspective he argues from (naturalistic, he is a scientist), and not what he actually believes. His argument is stating that even with that perspective, after the argument is deducted that it still comes to belief in god in the deepest sense.

I'd like mention (as a student of both) leading neurosurgeon Dr. Edgar said that the most no5able difference between living *things, and non-living material (things) is that living things move with intent, and there is no capacity in the materials of which either consist of for anything such as intent, purpose, or to care. A wise man once d3fined "nothing", as what rocks dream about.
