I know the joke is Mary being, arguably, offensive to Raj and Howard due to their religion, but she's actually being very respectful in what she's saying, trying to continually make sure they feel comfortable, etc. She's doing her best, even if a lot of people now a days wouldn't consider that enough.

The mothers in this comedy show are ultimate and super hilarious. Howard's mom, Sheldon's mom, Leonard's mom, Raj's mom. They're all creates a whole funny universe.

Sheldon's mom has the best insight into people sometimes. Even when Leonard and Penny were going back-and-forth on "Are we together or aren't we together?", Sheldon's mom could see that they would be a great couple, before they finally figured it out!

This woman isn't perfect but she is far, far better than Leonard's loathsome mother. Leonard's mother treated her son like a science experiment and wrote a book on it. That's not funny, it's criminal.

Mary immediately sensing the tension/connection that Leonard & Penny have is such a great little touch. That’s my best friends mom to a T. She has predicted the beginning & end of about 20 or so relationships in our friend group, & when she says a couple is meant for each other it’s gospel. Mama T has never been wrong once. It’s her sixth sense. Yet for some reason we all ignored her at least once with a failed relationship 😂.

Laurie's role as Mary erased my trauma from her role in Desperate Housewives as the store shooter. Damn, that episode is too intense for me at that time.

I’m sure it was due to Sheldon being so moody and for the comedy of him “being like a deer” for the scene but I find that Sheldon has so much regard for his mother he doesn’t even point out at any time that his mother is sitting in his spot or should move. As seen in later episodes when he’s in emotional distress, if it were any other person, he would have definitely said something.
