tldr: youtube is hard, it is what it is. you just have to deal with it.

this is one of my fav videos on this topic, watch it if you have the time:

Hey! I stumbled upon this video in my recommended videos and found it very interesting. As a former Roblox YouTuber myself, I agree that effort doesnt always equate to success, and thats unfortunate. Its frustrating to see that some of my higher quality videos have less views than my lower quality videos. I think to some extent, every video you upload is like rolling the dice, and you can't predict the outcome. All you can do is make videos out of love for making videos, and hope other people like it too.

The school part hits me hard since I’m working on my game all the time I always do my homework last minute and it’s hurting my mental health

The thing is you see many YouTubers with millions of subscribers but you never see the tens of thousands that fail for every few successful YouTubers

Ever since I was 11 years old I wanted to be a youtuber when I grow up so I eventually made a channel and posted mainly garbage videos but over time I got better and increased my video quality but since I started off making random poorly edited videos it affected my channel in the long term I got to a point where I was getting 5 views no matter the quality of the video and I couldn’t decide on a genre of videos I wanted to make cause I couldn’t stick with something I now have 1.19 thousand subscribers which I’m thankful for and my videos can get 1k views on a good day but usually they drop very low and I don’t even truly know what content I’m making anymore cause if you switch things up just a little bit no matter how many subscribers you have your whole audience leaves you on the spot there’s no warning for this you have to figure it out and cope with it by yourself it’s a shame that whenever you see a youtuber talking about how they became successful they never talk about the struggle to pull a decent amount of views and when other people decide to start making videos they get nowhere cause they don’t know that they’re not ready I think most YouTubers just don’t do a good job of warning their viewers who wanna be like them but the reason I keep going is because I don’t have anything else that I would rather do as a job out of everything in the world there is to do nothing is going to be fun and that’s just the sad truth nothing about getting a job is fun it’s not supposed to be fun and nobody warns you about it i dread waking up at 5am every day to go to school and I wish I could stay home and make videos and actually make money and I know that’s not all there is to it but if it’s the closest I can get to getting what Im trying to achieve it’s what I’ll do

Profie, Ive been watching your channel for quite a bit. Normally in the background, as it's pretty entertaining. I just now realised you normally hit less than 10k views. You are SO underrated, man

I used to watch your videos about Edward the man eating train a year ago, I was getting to the game and needed someone to guide me through and you helped me. I'm just here to say thank you for that, and I hope you get the attention you utterly and undoubtably deserve. and also, maybe you should make a few shorts when you need a break from the tens of hours of grinding out the high quality long-term videos. If you don't want to, that's fine, I hate shorts too. keep up the grind king 👑

Just came across this video and I just wanna say that everything you are saying majority of roblox YouTubers have went through in their early stages of their channel. I’m one dude that makes imo genuinely great videos and have seen success in a way so there is definitely a way to grow by doing quality stuff you just have to know how to get YouTube to do your bidding. The algorithm can and will be controlled just gotta know how. Can’t blame the algorithm forever 🤷‍♂️

Dude i honestly feel so sorry for you, i love watching your videos and notice how much effort you put into them with minimum views, i used to make short 30 second videos with barely any effort, taking 30 minutes to make and i have 10+ videos with over 100k views. I genuinely hope you get hugely noticed someday i love your content man keep it up. ❤️

ALSO FREDDIE GIBBS MENTIONED!!!! 🗣️

I think this is true for at least every youtuber. They try so hard trying to make some actual good content but they barely get any views and that seems unfair tbh.

After running my channel around 4 years of Roblox animation experience video, it doesn't work really much especially in Indonesia.

Sometimes, I feel like bad for myself. I was pushing myself to make animation but it wasn't really worth it because I only make few duration. I gotta change my strategy for this year, I'll change my audience to English people, follow trends and make more duration on my videos with less time of making it. I hope it works.

Yeah, I should reframe my channel and what's the goal. Thanks

Being a YouTuber in general is complicated, there are many people trying to achieve fame or recognition, in my opinion if you want to be a YouTuber you must have determination, have a good time, do what you like, there are many YouTubers who have made content for years that they did not receive so much attention and they are only now receiving recognition, another thing is not to stay stagnant and always try to improve, but as I said it is complicated, not many people achieve it, so when you start don't go with very high expectations.

it's true that making content as a new hardworking youtuber is extremely hard, because everybody nowadays has short attention spans. just a tip for any small youtuber out there, if you want to get views, make sure to make the thumbnail and title look VERY interesting, starting a new channel could be a struggle but the more you go the easier it gets and the more you understand your audience. for example, profie02 himself! he has been making videos since 6 years ago, with barely any views and subscribers. now look at his channel now! he has over 20k subscribers all because he was dedicated. but you also have to be making content with ACTUAL effort and not just some crappy unentertaining video. that's all!
