Toyota Tundra Hybrid 2023 Brake SQUEAL

Would you call this "within specifications"? This is how the brakes are working on new Tundra 23. No recall issued and no fix available at this time.

Bought my 2022 brand new. Brakes squealed like a beast from day 1. Owned it exactly 2 yrs now, 7 trips to the dealer trying to get this fixed. Dealer says it’s a known problem, Toyota is working on a fix. Service guy sympathized, said it’s all documented, and recommended I contact Toyota directly to share this headache. Toyota contacted me back, acknowledged the known issue and is supposed to get back to me. IDK. I had 250K trouble-free miles on my previous Tundra, and it was paid off for 10 yrs. Very irritated with this, especially when I make my new-truck payment every month. That noise is embarrassing af, especially somewhere quiet like the campground.

Update:
I replaced all four rotors and break pads with aftermarket. The squealing is gone for good! I have saved my receipt for future reference in case Toyota decides to re call.

I have the exact same issue 2023 Tundra hybrid. Toyota says they don’t know how to fix it. Paid $71, 000 for the truck they wanna put me in a 2024 same exact truck and only give me $53, 000 for mine!!! Total BS!!! Can we get a class action lawsuit started?

2023 sr5 - 20k miles. Squealing from day 1. Forced dealer to resurface rotor and replace pads- made it worse.

Same problem here '23 1794 Hybrid... service says some surface rust which is normal. Taking it in again. Sorry you have this issue too

I've had that issue out the gate. I went to vic vaughnToyota of boerne in texas and instead of getting any help I came back to my vehicle with my weed pen half empty

I traded in my 2018 Platinum for a 23 Crewmax Tundra. Brakes squeal at low speed moving forward and always in reverse. Toyota of North Park San Antonio told me the same thing twice. They don't care. How do we file a class action suit?

Mine does the same thing. 2023 limited. Toyota is supposedly working a fix… (for a year now). Pitiful.

I have a 2022 tundra, and this has been happening since day one with 2 miles. Now at 26, 000 still same issue. Called corperate and went to the the dealer 3 times with no solution

Toyota has a enforce training bulletin on this and my dealership just called me and told me they're ordering new pads rotors for Hardware on my 23 hybrid

24' buyer of a TRD Pro, we have been experiencing the same issue. This needs fixing quick, not such an appeal when you paid so much for a nice truck.

Does anyone else feel like some kind of resistance when you take off? Almost like if the parking brake was stuck on. I feel like that's what's frying the pads and rotors.

Same…. My 2023 Tundra SR5 has this annoying brake squeal from the purchase of the vehicle to now…. went to 5 different dealerships and nothing has been changed or made better, spent almost 1k on trying to fix this issue and nothing has come up yet…. very disappointed, telling all my family and friends don’t get a toyota….
