Camera RAW or Lightroom? What's the biggest difference

This is the main reason I use Lightroom over Camera RAW for my editing.

I don’t use Lightroom apart from Classic when I need to batch create HDR files from bracketed groups of images. I don’t use normal Lightroom as the catalog seems to take up a lot of space on my system. I have a Mac mini with a total of only 756GB of storage (256 system and 500 external hub). I also have a huge DAS enclosure but this isn’t always switched on and so isn’t a sensible place for the catalog. Any ideas as I would ultimately like to use Lightroom more?

Ahsante for the explaination and like you i started with Camera Raw and now doing research into Lightroom and it seems to me its best to use Lightroom if you want to work on multiple files at once which is super convenient!
