Do you actually test the bikes? Not sure how you can rate anything from specs.

In the Lightweight category this bike has the largest battery. Higher score for that, in my opinion. It also has a 4th mode which is a 10s boost. If I didn’t have an Orbea Rise M10 already on order, I would go for this one.

FYI SLX brakes uses the exactly the same caliper as XT with a different finish but a slightly less adjustable lever. Exactly the same on trail performance

I like the discreet look. Even with that battery capacity and power, It doesn't scream monster ebike. But geezes, $10K +

I really disagree with a lot of your points. I actually own the Rise M10 and quite a few other E-bikes (22 Sworks Levo, 22 Giant Reign E+0, 21 Rail 9.7, 22 Heckler AXS RSV). You really can't compare Super light ebikes with full fat ebikes. So in their own category the shuttle SL has the largest internal battery out of all the Super light ebikes with the highest peak wattage and matches the Rise for torque. I don't consider the Rise Hydro to be a super light. Rating it against its own category the Shuttle SL gets 10/10 for battery, 10/10 for motor assist. The Shuttle SL has DW link suspension on top while being 1lb lighter than the Levo SL, and just a tad bit lighter than the Rise M-LTD so 9/10 for frame and suspension design. Value wise its not as good as a Rise but better than the Turbo Levo SL. I have yet to ride the Fuel EXe but spec wise the EXe straight up isnt as good, you have to go for the 9.9 XTR or XX1 to get Ultimate level suspension for 13-14k while you can do that at 10k for the Shuttle SL. The bontrager carbon wheels arent very good IMO so thats really not added value. The Fuel EXe has a smaller battery, weaker motor, and is heavier than the Shuttle SL. Which is why I ordered the Shuttle SL Team XTR as the replacement/upgrade for my Rise M10.

Hold on, hold it on Frankie, I got news for you from the past at just 1:03 in the video. First ebike with fazua motor was Lapierre ezesty (I think it's called), and that was released like three years ago or maybe four. I don't really understand how in the world you're all considering specialized the first ebike light. I tried that Lapierre and at that time it wasn't even the newest like two springs(specialized light ebike didn't exist at that time) ago and ramped up everywhere like a fat ebike does, more, if you wanted an normal enduro bike to hang out in bike park you just take down the tube containing the battery and the motor, fit in the hollow tube, and voila less than 14 kilos of enduro bike. So for you all lads there, specy was actually the second one, and as far as I know fazua was the inventor of pedal assisted bike; the ones you saw into road bikes that where caught cheating like how much, 10 years ago? That's insane, isn't it? Those meant to be marketing movements that where done to start accepting by the mass an electric assistance while pedalling. However, if you want to correct this video, test that Lapierre and do what it should've been done long time ago. Ty.

Yes another great informative vid, loving the style of the motor and the over all look of the bike, are you looking replacing your norco?

What are you talking about? What is another non stop 4link spec'd better?

Is 150mm in front and 132mm enough? I think with this you can only ride on Hometrails, but not Freeride, Enduro or in Bikepark?

Pivot shuttle SL vs. Orbea Rise [M10]?

The only thing I hate about this is the rear travel eMTB is weak

Pivot bikes are more expensive than their competitors. Also lightweight e-bikes are the future of emtb. Nobody's gonna wanna ride a 55lb bike around in a few years.

Pivot should have went 150-160 on this bike just not enough travel for an ebike in my opinion

I'm curious if your score would have been that much better with the Pro build - ie speaking to fork and shock seems to address concerns. Question is for $1700 more, does it get a better overall score? Alloy wheels and hubs feels a bit of ding that you didn't mention either??

Great breakdown. I would agree that it is overpriced. The full power Pivot Shuttle was way overpriced as well, 10k+. For the amount of travel, they could have gone with a single tube shock and a Fox 34, added an aluminum frame and started pricing around 5-6k.

Of course it's the best, no one is better, Pivot pure perfection and others are far away behind
