I like this, the standard should be bringing it back but the bare minimum is to at least not leave it loose in the parking lot where it can cause damage.

So true!! I work with a girl in a wheelchair so I use the handicapped spots a lot and the worst is when people leave the cart in one of the very limited handicapped spots 😡

To add on to grocery store etiquette. People that stop their cart in the middle of an aisle while they look for an item. It's so annoying that they don't put it off to the side.

I just had an argument with my husband about this! He was trying to ditch the cart in the PARKING LOT.
Absolutely not. That's a d*** move.

the us should also do the money thing where you put a coin in to get to cart and get it back when you return it

when I worked in a grocery store my favourite job was getting the carts and taking them back to the store, it was the only time during my shift I was allowed to go outside so I really liked when people left them near their cars so I got more time outside, but I get that not every store is the same and some people might hate bringing the carts back, I personally bring my cart back because I don't want it to be an imposition to anyone and someone told me it sucks for people with mobility issues to have to navigate around the carts but at least in the store I worked at none of the employees were cheesed about getting carts it was the job everyone wanted

It’s the same type of people who just stop caring about their kids lives once they hit 18. Like that’s your responsibility until the job is all the way not just until your baggage are out of it 😂

Delta would love the Shopping Cart Cop.

Aldi has it right with charging you a quarter to get a cart and then giving you the quart back when you return the cart. Genius.

THANK YOU…
I get weird looks when I bring my cart back…
I always just believed it was the right thing to do…

Gotta agree with you, DeltaWorks!
It IS your "ethical responsibility" to be in public!

In the uk they have someone employed to collect the trolleys (“karts”) in the car park so we don’t need to take them back haha

Or when they decide that they don’t want to shop at that store for whatever reason they just leave it somewhere inside the store, rather to the front so that a worker could put the merchandise back on the floor or wherever they need to go and then free a cart for the next person to use
