I experienced a 7.1 earthquake when I was a child, it's something I cannot forget. I remember the first year after the earthquake, every time a car drove by, my heart would race with terror, reminding me of the sound of the earthquake.
I can only feel sorry today for the losses in Turkey and Syria, and sympathize with the survivors, the psychological trauma must be even worse with a 7.8 earthquake.🥺

I would think Turkey had higher building standards than this, being in such a high earthquake prone area. Japan would just shrug off a 7.8. My God, I can't imagine the terror of these poor people. God be with them.
