I still have the McDonalds children’s train set with all the characters from the 70’s. Mom always let me set it up under the Xmas tree every year.

I worked at a McDonald's a few yrs back. Had a pleasingly plump manager that loved his purple shirt. Had our very own grimace.

Puff and stuff was truly creepy. I still watched it though as a Gen x, we only had 3 channels. You watched what was available.

It is so weird to hear the phrase "McDonald's enthusaists"... I honestly can't wrap my head around that one. Even if I were hungry as hell, you gave me the food for free, AND offered me money to eat it, I would still pass.

Growing up in the 80s I remember grimace Mayor McCheese Burger officer Big Mac hamburglar and early bird but I'd never heard of Captain crook who was before my time

I am 50 and don't recall the Shamrock Shake being from the 70s. Was it regional back then? I thought it was something that came up in the 90s.

The only McDonald’s playground I knew in the early 80s was on western a block south of Santa Monica. It was so much going into Grimace cage.

Grimace had a resurgence last summer. They had a Grimce shake. It was gross. It was supposed to taste like a blueberry. It literally tasted like nothing. Is purple a flavor?!
