For over 50 years, Ronald McDonald has been one of the most popular fast food mascots. He really started to rise in popularity in the '60s, thanks to well-placed ads during the 1965 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the 1966 Super Bowl.

Ronald McDonald is known throughout the world, and he is even referred to as Uncle Donald in China. Now that's respect. However, his popularity has fallen just a bit due to a health-conscious backlash, but the red, yellow, and white clown has had a long and storied history.

As a kid, I loved Ronald McDonald. As an adult, I find him creepy as hell.

My mother used to be a manager for the local McDonald’s in my area and as a kid I had all of the Ronald McDonald’s movies! Loved them

Good thing me and a lot of kids at my old elementary school in the 90s got to see Ronald McDonald appear at our school three times in our life time. He performed a bit of magic a little, he talked to us about how things in his life look in ways we understood, he was mainly talking about McDonaldland or life experiences, told a few jokes and he was incredible with the kids and me back in the day. I was grateful we got to meet him in person three times.

I'm Sick of just Plain Modern McDonalds Commercials!! They're Boring without Ronald!! Same with every Other Fast Food Chain!! Good thing about Ronald McDonald: I got an A in my grammar school report. McDonalds had a placemat, with Ronald McDonald traveling through space. I almost plaguarized it, but I changed it to my mysterious friend, based on a doll I had, who came from outer space to visit me on her space craft. We went to Mercury, and I mentioned the aspects of that planet, then Venus, and etc. Last stop was the Sun. Nobody remembered the placemat. Maybe nobody read it but me? Got an A. Thank you McDonalds and Ronald McDonald.
