My grandparents became very wealthy in the 70's and 80's. They stayed in the same house they bought in 1954, drove the same cars and rarely bought new clothes. No jewelry or trips to Vegas.
This had a big influence on me. I'm not rich by societies standards, but I'm comfortable because I blend in and stay under the radar.
I'm able to travel and enjoy life because I don't blow it trying to look good. 💸💸💸💸

I agree... "Look Poor" until you hit your target... then flex/splurge a bit *AFTER* you've hit your financial mark. However, IMO, I earn, save, invest, BUT STILL enjoy little splurges along the way. Simply BECAUSE 'tomorrow' is not promised.

The reason why not looking important is also important. Rather than focusing on looking poor, one should just look there best and be there best to honor God and be the best version of themselves. This helps one attract a mate, one attract the appropriate networks, people and scenarios

Dress like a bum, drive my old rusty Chevy truck, which mechanically is in good shape!!! I did buy a cheap SUV last year (28000)! Live rural, on an acre with a 2000 sq ft house, attached 900 sq ft garage and a 300 sq ft shed, which I brought fairly cheap n updated myself! My bills total 2500 a month, I clear 6000 a month after bills due to pensions! Retired 2 years ago at 59!!!!
