2015 F-150. Had the same issue. Intermittent "wrench" light, would not down shift past third gear. I would pull over, shut the truck off and restart, and it was all cleared and truck functioned fine. Did that a handful of times over a six month period. Finally took it to the shop and they recommended replacing the valve body with lead frame. Not even going to tell you how much I

I'm having the same code. Mine jerks and transmission stays in third gear and above and the speedometer quits working randomly. But if you turn it off and back on it works again for a while.

I think the F250s may have had the 10R80 transmission, but they too had the same issues as the 6R80.

Just a correction replaced my leadplate on my 2015, 8 months ago and it is not dirt and grime getting on the contacts. I read that there were particles of metals moving in the oil and causing a (contact) between the connectors. MyPo720 issue was I would be stopped at a red light light and the indicator would show I was in 3rd gear. Have nothad any issues since. My understanding is that replacing the oil sooner would have not caused this problem ... When you flush the the metal particles and flushed out also

My 2016 ford f150 3.5l ecoboost has the same issues, my mechanic changed the lead frame and installed a new oil filter and fluid and the problem didn't go away, is still has the same problems, harsh shifting, gears gets stuck on 3rd and sometimes 5ft, even if a turn the truck off and on is still gets stuck on third gear, the fan revs a lot like the engine was hot but its normal, WHAT ELSE CAN I DO??I REALLY NEED HELP.
