Manual under writing? Sorry I'll always disagree with Dave on this one. One card, no fees, pay it off at the end of each statement. You don't need a big limit, 500$, just buy your groceries or gas, you don't have to go crazy at all. Do that while you follow the rest of his plan, and when the time comes getting that (hopefully small) mortgage will be much easier.

I theoretically agree with everything he says, however it is extremely hard to live in the world while building wealth with no credit score. I can remember going to turn on my water when I first got married and had to put $800 down because I didn't have credit.

This is lousy advice! How can I get a better car then the one I paid cash for without credit? People who make only 2550 a month don’t have enough to “ save” to just buy more beater Craigslist cars. Credit runs everything I can’t even buy a couch without credit

Dave is out of touch on this one. You don’t need a credit score if you are rich because you can afford to buy everything outright. If you are a normal person you need a credit score so you need to use credit cards.
