PS5 Game Won't Start - How to Fix

In this video, I show how to fix the issue when a PS5 game won't start. It is fairly simple and you just have to hard reset you're PS5. Turn off the PS5 through the menus with the PlayStation button on your controller. Wait until it is fully turned off. Unplug the power cable for about 30 seconds. Plug in and turn on the console and it should work!
I believe this happened to me because I unplugged the system without turning it off fully when I was trying to move it. It was in rest mode. Make sure to always fully power down your console before unplugging!

Ironically this was the first time ever I get a console on day one, based on other people's experiences I knew the risks associated with getting one of the first batch, that's why I always waited at least a year to get my first console every generation, today I had two of the most common issues people are having with their PS5's, like I said I knew what I was getting into, but that doesn't makes it right, people shouldn't have to deal with widespread system malfunctions within the first 30 days of owning anything, lesson learned.

This just happened to me last night. I tried restarting it and it didn't work, so what I did was launched another game, closed it, then opened up Demon's Souls and that fixed it, but whatever works for me might not work for someone else. It's a bit frustrating. Hopefully it doesn't keep occurring and they can get the issue resolved.

This happens to me, however it only requires a restart. I never had to unplug it. Sadly this is happening more and more. Strange enough this will happen from a cold boot, when Demons souls is the 1st game you try to play as well.

Simply restarting the console does the job for me. had it twice already never needed more than a simple restart no unplugging necessary.

My console crash and they ask me to file a report and I wrote "This console is a pile of Sh*t" and about an hour later this started happening. I thought they got salty with me and ban me from using my ps5 or something 😂

My screen freezes at the title screen of the game, then either kicks me out or system turns off completely.

You need to manually close the application first. You can damage the PS5s SSD by turning the system off while it is trying to load the game. You must close the game first, then restart console.

Also if you just leave it be after it freezes the game will eventually start. It skips the sony logo and bluepoint name logo and goes straight to the cinematic. I believe the game it self needs an update it's not the ps5.

This def fixed the problem, but damn its so annoying when it does it all the time now. I am experiencing this problem with PS5/Demons Souls like every 2-3 game loads. Come on PS5, step your game up!!!
