This reminds me of how poetic Tokyo Ghoul was. It's really crazy how this had been my first ever watched anime when i was like 12 and from there i started reading manga reading books watching all kinds of different shows and movies and it all started with Tokyo Ghoul. Fiction is my life and it all started with this story

If I was the creative director on a Tokyo Ghoul re:make I would respect Sui Ishida by keeping his picks for OST, and lets be honest Yutaka Yamada's work is also perfect so we'll probably just keep the entire OST. Adapt the manga faithfully story wise (please can we get a monologue in the beginning with Kaneki likening his life to Kafka's Metamorphosis because that is such an important part of his character development with how he interprets that story). I'd like it to go more arthouse, have some more experimental scenes where (maybe for dream sequences or impactful introspective scenes) we have more of a manga style (and/or with the color pallet of Sui Ishida's illustrations, they're so beautiful) or B&W (like in the video). I appreciate Root A for having the end credits showcase some of Ishida's work while playing a beautiful Amazarashi song chosen by him as well. I loved the anime but it can be better.
