When mom brings you back from crazy town in one sentence! Happy Retirement Safier Mama! the juice box made me laugh! You know she was an amazing teacher when she tears up talking about her students! In other news, neither of your parents look old enough to have kids as old as you OR retire! The student pictures made me tear me! One kid shows up to help and grade papers and the other shows up for a loan :) LOL you should totally be in love with the cameraman! 40 years is awesome and congrats!

I’m loving subbing after retirement! All the fulfillment of teaching without staff meetings, parent conferences and the never ending paperwork and evaluations. Extra money and a flexible schedule. Keeping connected to the folks you have collaborated with and seeing the kids is so lovely.

Congratulations on your retirement!!! 🎉🎉🎉 Teachers like you are hard to find, ones that leave an impression on your heart so big, you never forget them. Sadly, my favorite teacher from high school passed unexpectedly from a heart attack almost a year ago...although I have been out of high school going on 34 years now...the day I found out just shattered me. You, like my favorite teacher change lives and don't even realize how much of an impact you had....to this day I still love to read and write (she was my English teacher)...on my bucket list is to write a book. Congratulations again and your school was so blessed to have someone like you.
Also to get cameraman's Hollands Opus is a fantastic movie.
