Hi Amy. Central Florida here. Cooled down last couple days and hoping my Phals don't go into shock. This will be my first winter with my orchids. Blessing to you and your family

How interesting this information is to me, thank you. I now realize that, especially as I've not been presoaking the bark, I need to water more after repotting. I always enjoy your videos 🤗

Thank you so much for these tips Amy! I just spent the last week repotting 9 Phals into bark after I found one with spider mites. Needless to say, after all the panic and frustration passed, I remembered you posted about pests which was super helpful. I decided after spraying them down I may as well start fresh and place them all in new sterilized pots and new bark medium. These tips are a great reminder for care that will hopefully let them reestablish well. Fingers crossed !

Hello Amy. As I watch this video here in South Africa... I actually just repotted one of my orchids like literally an hour ago. This is so timeous. Thank you for this. It is definitely going to help me. I have lost a few orchids after repotting so I'm really praying that this one lives. Thank you and God's blessings upon you and your family too🙏🙏🙏

Thank you so much for these tips. I can’t tell you how many Phals I have lost just repotting them from moss to bark. Thank you again.

Hi Amy. Great information and that humidifier looks amazing. I just set up two of our humidifiers. The small one in the master bathroom is helping a lot. The larger one in the kitchen is helping a little. These heat pumps sure do dry out the air! We've had January temperatures during this first week of November here in North Alabama! I think I need to hold off on repotting any right now. Have a wonderful week. 🙋‍♀️💐

That sure is a nice humidifier. I really liked it. What I do when repotting my Phals. Is I soak the roots in calmag and kelp to get them well hydrated and well fed. It helps them to get a good start establishing. I use 1/2 tsp. of both in one gallon of distilled water or RO water. Shalom and many blessings.🤗🥰

Hi Amy, 👋

i have found that some people suggest leaving repoted phals dry few weeks...reason for that is preventing bacteria or viruses infecting roots...by that i mean roots that may have been cutted or snapped or some micro fractures (while removing bark from roots).
Any thoughts about this? 🧐

Peace 🙏

Why did you change from water culture to bark potting, I never thought much of water culture, thank you for your informative videos.

Good morning, Amy! It surely has been a glorious fall here! My husband and I took a ride to “Tail of the Dragon” last week. It is always so beautiful, and we love the lodge! Great video and tips. I have repotted several, as well. This morning the humidity in my grow space, without any misters or humidifier, is 47…the lowest it has been in a while. I think I will use the paper-towel hack later! Amy, could you please tell me the model number of your humidifier - is it HTJ-2119? Thank you, and have a good day. I pray you are doing well! 🧡🧡Hugs, Mary Ann (Edit: I ordered the model humidifier shown above. It comes Monday! 👍🏻)

I have a sunroom porch with vinyl windows but it doesn't stay heated from the house but from the sun. I am curious how warm it will be in the winter. I am guessing orchids shouldn't be in weather under 65 degrees so I will have to do some research on this. I always find your videos so helpful. Thank you for continuing to spread your blessings.

Thank you so much Amy! I have lost an orchid after repotting a few years ago. Just repotted another one and it was getting more dehydrated. This helped alot. I will try the paper towel also. What are your thoughts of placing just a bit of moss on the top and keep it slightly most to help it get established? Thank you again!

We've been following advice to repot only during active growth (spring, late spring/summer) so the roots can more safely establish in the bark, to avoid root loss of delicate growth tips. Could you address this seasonal concern, please?

Hello ms. Amy! Im a little bit confused about using CalMag and seaweed, does it mix together with watering? or watering first before fertilizing?
Thank you so much And Have an blessed day!
