How to treat bed bug bites

For itching, you can:
Swallow antihistamine tablets or liquid
Or apply antihistamine cream on your skin

For itching and to help bites heal faster, try hydrocortisone cream. Your pharmacist will ask you extra questions if you want to use hydrocortisone cream.

You should not apply hydrocortisone cream on broken skin (that might be bleeding) or on your face (unless you have a prescription from your doctor).

You can apply antiseptic cream to your bites to reduce the chances of them getting infected.

If your skin is really red, hot, super itchy, and you have a rash that is starting to spread, these are all signs you could have a skin infection.

You might need antibiotics or other treatment from your pharmacist or doctor. Please speak to them for advice.
