We headed down into Ellison's Cave and Dropped down Fantastic Pit. Just about everything that could've gone wrong did. This was seriously close to becoming a full scale rescue.

Pls remember, safety first. Your videos are fantastic because you see and do fantastic things, not because you do dangerous thing. AAT and CC are the best !

Great footage. It's fun watching each of your different perspectives. Glad you didn't get hit.

A lot of people are praising these guys, and it's great that they got everyone out unhurt, but they also caused this situation too. Edward and James together is one thing, but a bunch of inexperienced cavers going down such a deep pit with untested equipment, and a freaking Milwaukee Tools drill that isn't waterproofed that you're running extremely hard with out enough batteries to make that ascent was just foolish. Lucky that battery or drill didn't catch fire. It seemed like they had genuinely no good backup plan in case something went wrong. I've been watching the twins for a while and this was genuinely the most reckless thing I've seen them do.

Helmet or not IF that had hit you, you would 100% be dead. That is unacceptable to let that fall.

Hey, at least you learned some valuable lessons at such a small price. I'm glad no one was hurt.

Between you guys and the Action Adventure Twins, I have dropped down into Fantastic Pit so many times, I feel as though I am so familiar with the descent process that almost every formation has my name on it! And I won't leave graffiti in any cave! Keep safe caving, boys! You guys...'ROCK!'

From what I saw here and on Edwards video. I think that Edward took the role of the "leader" guite well. Thumbs up for you and them to stayed calm and didn't start panicking. You were somehow prone to panic a little bit at earlier videos, that was my impression, but you moved from that quite far. Glad to see that. But you Davis and Edward should really sit and talk about what happened. Maybe a few hints? 1. You should bring reflective arrows, sticks to find a way from mazes (some getting lost situations from past) 2. In a cave like this more supplies of gear, food, water and waterproof clothing. Spare gloves? 3. Agree on some obvious signal, when something falls (rock, gear, bag) from such a high point. You guys shout all the time everywhere so such a message will get lost. Maybe strong whistle? Which will say, get cover? In mountains we yell STEIN in german, so it is clear and energetic. But words will get lost in these echoes.

Anyway. I love your videos. You took me into caves virtually and I am really glad for that. I had no balls for that and now it is too late to start. :) Thank you. Stay safe.

Bring cavers with little experience for this deep of pit is a recipe for disaster. Using electric ascending equipment that hasn't been tested for deep pit work was a mistake.

look, obviously Im not there, hell I dont even cave.
but im experienced enough in team situations to tell you this. The other people on your team are as much your responsibility as yourself. if they come ill equipped, make bad decisions or put you and themselves at risk then it can very quickly become your problem so the fact you all went to a cave, didn't test new gear and didn't make sure everyone knew how the thing worked is everyones fault. and if one of your buddies is injured or stuck it very quickly becomes your problem and can be extremely dangerous for you.

That doesn't mean you can't have fun. just make sure you meet up and discuss plans, check your gear together and make sure everyone is on the same page. you certainly want to make sure people who are on watch for stuff stay the hell awake, that was pretty sketch.

one final point, when you have a bad mistake, get together afterwards and discus it, make sure everyone is aware of what happened and steps to avoid it happening again.

anyway. that was epic, please look after yourself :)

Cant run a drill nonstop. Only short periods at each go then rest it a few seconds. Its *INCREDIBLY* lucky that moat didn't quit for good especially since it burned you, it was so hot inside there that things were probably melting. And secondarily lucky a battery didn't catch on fire. You cannot run one so continuously, and discharge such powerful batteries (both under heavy working load) uninterrupted. Few seconds at a go, then rest it a few seconds

Terrifying, in just about every way. Nice work

What's crazy is Edward from Action Adventure Twins went back down there by himself to recover the gear they left. Dude is crazy but he's pretty skilled and good at what he does.

Use pristine equipment. Have ironclad rules. Educate everyone. There has to be consensus. There has to he accountability.

I don't know much about caves or gear but I could tell it's a serious situation. I watch your videos because I find them interesting and I'm glad you're ok. Hopefully everyone learned a lesson. Looking forward to your next video!
