Howdy all!

Check out my new branded gear!

Lillith: The F87 M2 Competition build out
Furiosa: The F32 435i build out

As some of you know for sure, I had a carbon fiber vented hood (M4 CS replica) on my 435i. I get questions all the time about the vent itself, and if the water and more coming through the vent is going to ruin the motor.

Now there are lots of options for vented hoods, and where they might be open over your motor, but when looking at OEM hoods (and exact replicas), I think you are going to be ok!

The best example I thought would be to compare the M2C (not vented) with the M2 CS (CF vented hood) and look if any special precautions had been put in place by BMW. In short.. no.. the cars are exactly the same, no special ducting, rain tracks or other pieces to channel off the water.

Required parts and tools:
None, nice to have though to be EXTRA safe:
Kies Motorsports Crank Seal guard

Nice to have:
Good lighting
Great music - Larkin Poe is just amazing, check them out!

Hi! thanks for your video. For my M2 (not competition and not CS; N55 engine, not S55), I would like to replace the hood for the M2 CS vent hood. Is it possible? Is there any contraindication?
