Didn't need to take off as much as you did, but very informative .

Just pulled my 16, xp4 1000 transmission, no need to remove hub assembly unless you got cv shaft issue, just leave castle nut and caliper all together, remove radius rods, sway bar link and shock bolts and trailing arm will pivot enough to get cv shaft out of transmission.

There's a tool that aligns the motor pto and tranny input before you tighten trans to motor

make a HD version for the 900, 900S, 1000S, general. I believe they use the same trans with different prop shaft/secondary shaft ends. Anyone with a turf mode explosion or reverse chain failure would just buy your trans. Please make a CV axle cup/slide hammer tool. You would make serious $$.

Is there a need for the clutch alignment tool for aligning the tranny to the engine or just watch the 10.5" dimension and call it good?

Is that driveshaft stock or aftermarket?

Is this about the same process on the general?

No wonder every time my buddies decide to do something to there Polaris transmission there’s always something not right. I keep telling them leave that stuff alone till it breaks. There’s so much to these to removing these transmissions there’s always something wrong when trying to put back together.

Of course you skipped the part I needed as usual.... lost my lower passenger side trans to engine bolt and can't get the new one to catch that little plate back there for I think it's bent somehow. If I loosen the top bolt the bottom of the bracket comes in and the bolt will reach it but won't start.
