It's fast for an almost-ultralight, but I think I'll stick with PPG when I want to hang out in the wind and a 172 when I want to go somewhere. That looked scary. Thanks for sharing!

Seems like a lot of pilots are afraid of "heights". I finally realized that I'm not so much afraid of being up high; I'm afraid of being in a situation where I can fall. So planes don't bother me, but things like the rim of a canyon... not so good.

When I was a teenager, my dad's friend bought an ultralight, and he took me up in it. I had never flown before. It was quite the experience. He even let me handle the controls for a little bit. That helped ease my nerves as I could feel how it handled and that it wasn't just going to fall out of the air. Like you said, that feeling of being in touch with the air is something else. Thanks for this!

Watched this one yesterday morning in the ultralight pattern. I’m an LSA flyer and glad to see you getting a taste of 2-seat LSA flying—even though I think a more conventional sport plane is my personal cup of tea.

Wow, what an interesting and fun aircraft. Those controls would have definitely tripped me up as well. Good job getting out of your comfort zone!

Sweet. Always like to see it when people get out of their comfort zone. And I liked his rule number one. Stay in the trike I’m coming back and if your in here your coming back with me 😁

Thanks for the vid, I am trying to get my ppl and I am afraid of heights too! After seeing your video I read 1 out of 10 pilots are afraid of heights. Glad to know its somewhat normal… thank you.

Wes, Larry, and Amy are all great instructors. Go by and see them if your near the Zephyrhills FL area.

before I got my PPL i never thought I’d be able to be a pilot, I had a PHOBIA, not of heights but of falling and negative Gs. Full on internal panic mode feeling myself getting light in the seat. Those first few flights I hated lol, especially let’s just say stalls were an….. interesting time with my CFI, but as I got more hours and went really deep into the physics of flight and stalls and everything I love it now.
Thanks for the video!

I’ve wanted to get an Evolution trike since I saw it at Oshkosh eight years ago. Such an awesome aircraft!

Very cool!!! When are you taking a fan fly with you!?!

Flew in an airborne trike in Hawaii. That take off is so sudden. It really takes your brain a minute to process the fact that "this is happening"

Flew a flex winged exactly like this over the UK last week, the views are nothing like heavier aircraft... You can see everything around you

Just another pilot with a healthy fear of heights chiming in! I earned my private in an R-22 with no doors, but I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Ha, I am afraid of heights too and I co-designed/co-founded the trike and company you just flew in this video and have 3500+ hours in trikes. Now I fly and make gyroplanes and airplanes at Zephyrhills. Somehow when I know how the thing is holding me up (engineering), my fear of heights kind of dissolves away.

heh, it looks like a Harley or Goldwing that has been turned into a trike. And a 912iS, that's legit!
