Epica, FIRST TIME REACTION on my channel, is a Dutch symphonic metal band, founded by guitarist and vocalist Mark Jansen after his departure from After Forever. Formed as a symphonic metal band with gothic tendencies, later Epica have incorporated into their sound strong death metal influences. Juilliard trained opera singer, Maggie Reneé, reacts to Epica performing Sancta Terra featuring Floor Jansen in a Live Retrospect Show

Fun fact:
As you read, Mark Jansen was also founder of After Forever. Guess who was AF's lead vocalist? Floor Jansen (no relation, btw), who else?

I think you would have a lot of fun reacting to "The Day that the World breaks down" from Ayreon. It's really interesting. And *really* awesome.

Simone was three months pregnant during this concert not quite sure how much that would affect her vocals, but her headbanging sure was restrained.
A nice follow up would be "Stabat Mater Dolorosa" by Pergolesi from this same concert Floor and Simone going full blast classical in this early 19th century hymn with only the orchestra.

While I love this piece, IMO the better of the two Floor performed with them at that concert was Sabat Mater Dolorosa, in which Floor sings the alto part while Simone sings the soprano.
Absolute class and a rock audience completely silenced to hear every note and nuance.
You also get a hint of Floor's training and class in that at the end she properly acknowledges the conductor, orchestra and choir, as well as the band. You can also see it in this, as it is Floor who is lofting her voice (some of the time - it is one of the choices she makes to add colour to her voice) while Simone uses the wider voice throughout.
But above all, huge shoutout to the audio techs who must have put in well over a normal day of work setting up, checking and balancing all the channels and grouping them sensibly so they could be mixed live. to cope with everything from hard and heavy death metal to the pure sound you would expect of Sabat Mater.
With every choral singer and instrument (down to each drum and cymbal) on a different channel, and the lead vocalists on a pair each for spacial movement, that must have been a humungous operation!
Oh, and Simone was a bit restrained in her normal headbanging, as she was 3 months pregnant.
