Why can't you craft God Apples in Minecraft?

They should make Notch Apples recipe to be a golden apple surrounded by diamonds and obsidian.

I think totems are way op bc u can farm them and making noch apple useless

But the. People cud downgrade the world with having stacks of apples and gold blocks in there inventory,

I just pretend it's still in the game and just throw my golden apple and 8 blocks of gold in lava then spawn myself an enchanted gold apple.
Though like he mentioned it being overpowered I force myself to have at least 5 levels in order to make one just so I don't exploit it.
