CSULA Young Americans for Freedom welcoms the "Factual Feminist", Christina Marie Hoff Sommers to our campus for a livestreamed event titled, "Where Feminism Went Wrong". Christina is an American author, former philosophy professor, and resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), a conservative think tank. Sommers is known for her critique of contemporary feminism. Her work includes the books Who Stole Feminism? (1994) and The War Against Boys (2000), and her writing has been featured in a variety of different media outlets, including The New York Times, Time, and The Atlantic. She also hosts a video blog called The Factual Feminist.

Cal State LA is the hotbed of far leftist activity. Ever since it's forced implementation of "diversity courses" where students are forced to take courses that help indoctrinate students to have a radical view on race, gender and culture. Our chapter hosted Ben Shapiro on February 25th and had to deal with a mob of over 100 students blockading the doors and almost inciting a riot. Recently Cal State LA has been on the news for it's segregated housing that it offers to students to protect them from micro aggressions. Cal State LA offers a minor, certification and post baccalaureate certificate in Woman's Gender and Sexual Studies. Some of these gender studies fulfill the diversity requirement that students MUST take in order to graduate form Cal State La. There are 47 gender studies courses offered at Cal State LA. There is also a feminist club on campus, that embraces the radical ideas of intersectionality and has participated in the violent demonstrations that happened at Cal State La. Cal State La forces clubs on campus to attend a mandatory sexual Assault training where rape culture and all sorts of feminist propaganda are spewed out to the students. Clubs are required to send 2 people from each organization and fraternity's and sorority's are required to send ALL of its members to the sexual assault training. The Cross Cultural Center also offers a guide to being a woman on campus and warns of the various feminists myths put out such as rape culture and patriarchy.

That one kid who kept interrupting CHS had the nerve to say she's an idiot when he spent half his time at the mic spouting disproven facts and not even knowing what the standard for admitting evidence is. He needs to sit down and learn something, especially if he thinks socialism is actually better than a free market

01:03:48:00 - great moment. Moron stands up to virtue signal for the trans women… trans women quickly stands up herself to declare she doesn't need his misguided help.

"You're a right-winger" is not an argument. The appropriate response to it is: "So what?".

I'm listening on headphones and can't see the video most of the time. You can tell, by the annoying voice, when someone is going to say something unbearably stupid.

They are having a lecture inside of a building. That Building was designed by an Architect. If we found out that the Architect smoked crack and beat his wife, it would be stupid to demand that the building be torn down in order to right his moral wrongs.

"You think educationists are less important than petroleum engineers?" Seriously, what planet is he living on? Pornstars get paid probably 10X than high school teachers on an average. Does that mean they're more IMPORTANT than high school teachers? It's obvious Hoff Sommers was referring to how things are and not making any comments about how they should be.

it's funny i'm learning feminism from CHS, but she did misrepresent intersectionality. the reason lived experience is special is because language sucks. But I would also say lived personal experience is limited and biased and must be used with extreme caution.

I wish CHS handled the two SJWs better, she could have easily dispelled the rape culture and wage myths claim

I'm a socialist and a leftist and I agree with her largely.

Capitalism sucks though. And we've never really had it. We have a weird quasi-market thing(?) that helps the rich when they fail and screws the poor. That guy questioning her had a good point until he lost his cool. The he called her an idiot or something and lost his point.

I knew I liked this woman since I found she had been having similar ideas to those I too have had. She speaks well, calmly and collectedly enough that anyone can understand, and all while telling it like it is! Faved this!

@ 55:40 person is trying to apply current morality to a culture hundreds of years past. Logical fallacy.

That transgender person was so rude, interrupting other people.

Hope the debate goes well for YAF!

So that one person essentially said "because the founding fathers of an idea were not good human beeings, the idea itself is bad"? That doesn't make any sense. Also it says the following if you follow this logic: "only bad people could follow a idea made by bad people", thus its a direct insult.

1h29min46sec, based mom smiling, thinking: "Oh, please don't let the last question be from an idiot.."
Student starts: "You and I are both white women..."
based mom's smile turns into a disappointed frown, knowing what to expect from there on.

"The prisoners are on strike!" O.o From what? Did they decide they were going to go home and choose not to be in jail because of the law?
