I'm so glad they found work for the special ed student as a camera operator.

I like the sound of Freedom Feminism - Boys will be boys and Girls will be girls. There's nothing wrong with it. Saying that a girl is wrong for wanting to play with dolls, or saying that a boy is violent and evil for wanting to play video games is the ultimate form of unreasonable "shaming."

I find it odd women were allowed in the talk to hold up signs in protest. Yet, if this was done at an event for Laci Green, Anita Sarkessian, etc it would have been evidence of patriarchy or it would have been offensive.

While I understand it is a knee jerk reaction to a fear appeal, I can't help but feel somewhat disappointed these women would rather be comforted by deception than consider other avenues.

Hahaha, "Aspergery." She's so unapologetically offensive.  I love it.

"Men can be a little Aspergery in their goals"

The audience reacted to that, but it really is true.  It's both a blessing and a curse to become consumed with seeing something through.

Wow these non-scholars hate that I left my career to raise my kids. They would drag me away from the best thing I ever did!

That story about her father buying a Playboy to read her article...oh man...

To those saying bad things about the camera work, it's likely the camera person was constantly getting physically prodded by the trigger warning people. Safe spaces indeed!

I'm working on a project regarding negative body image and eating disorders in adolescent males, but I'm going to watch this in it's entirety after I'm done. <3 BasedMom

"Aspergery"

Bahahaha, you can hear all of the feminists gasp.

Oh my god.

I love it how #feminist  means to interupt a public speaker who's a woman.
TOTALLY FOR WOMEN FOLKS.

It's always nice to see a feminist preaching meritocracy, however rare it might be.

Absolutely fine with the camerawork. It's very good for an iPhone. :)

Loved Sommers speaking! Nodded at everything she said like, "Yesss! Thank you!" She did stutter and ramble a bit though, but her rambles were very nice as well, lol.

A university campus should not have such a kind-hearted speaker feel so threatened and nervous. You can tell by the way she stumbles with her wording so much, she is never tripping over in any of her other talks. How those holding up the signs in protest proclaim to have the moral high ground is beyond me.

I know I looked just as bad and had a lot of half baked ideas in college, but I can't help but roll my eye's at these students.

Deez kids!

And thus hundreds of advocates of social justice in that campus gained PTSD that day.

Listen to carefully to the voices of the students after Christina wrapped up her speaking.

To tell you what I've heard, the students were basically ridiculing Christina with the usual Tumblr feminist stuff with no real backing; calling her outrageous for not adressing "female under-representation" in certain majors.
Which clearly shows that these buttheads were not properly listening. (Christina addressed why there are gender disparity in certain majors but these students are acting like she didn't say anything about it.)

I don't want to condemn them for having an opinion, but jeeze, I wonder how Christina feels speaking in a politically hostile environment.
