How to Play Wii Games on the Wii U WITHOUT a TV Sensor Bar

Hi, this video shows you how to play Wii games on a Wii U without a sensor Bar. So it shows how to enter the Wii Mode on a Wii U straight from start up so you can use the Sensor Strip on the Wii U Gamepad rather than the Sensor Bar on top of the TV. This is useful if you have damaged your Sensor Bar and still wish to play Wii games.

You can also use two candles instead of the sensor bar because it does the same thing that the sensor bar does. The sensor bar is just two inferred lights that lets the Wii remote triangulate it’s position, thus allowing it to determine where the pointer should be on screen.

when i press the b button on wii u screen, it comes out the option to choose payload default, fw_img_loader, nanddumper. what do i choose?

Very neat trick, never knew about the sensor bar on the wii u gamepad and the B - button bypass to the wii menu at startup... thx a lot. The Wii u still surprises me after 5 years - what an awesome console, still love it :)
