I have seen many stories on Gwinnett county. From the dog and cat program, inmates saving guards and even the wardens taking time to talk to their prisoners. This shows what a prison and jail system could be on both sides if respect is given. I really appreciate the program they put in for animals and inmates. A lot of the participants in the animal program never go back again and some even get to adopt their animal that they helped raise and train! I seen other jails take on similar programs. There a lot of good people with potential in jail right now that made a lot of bad decisions that if given the chance can make good come out.

It is in my opinion that inmates who do this should have time taken off their sentences.

This is awesome and I hope Gwinett County does NOT try and take the credit of this worthy officer’s work ethic, standards or for his kindness because that is NOT them. The agency had nothing to do with it really. You know they will try to glorify themselves as 1, even when the inmate says some officers make time hard for the hell of it :(. I salute the inmates an this officer. I was a CO so I salute you

I am so proud you men stepped up to the plate. Thank you for saving his life by your quick actions. He must have been a well respected officer. I would give a wonderful dinner to all those involved in helping this man out. The prisoners showed mercy and God loves it when we show mercy. Blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy.
