Toyota Australia and their dealerships should be ashamed of their treatment of their customers on their waiting lists.

Have travelled 45, 000k in our 2022 cruiser AWD, it is truly an excellent car with a comfortable ride and good power. Averaging 5.9 litres per 100 with mostly rural and freeway driving. Toyota reliability, with everything working flawlessly and cheap servicing. If you order one, it is well worth the wait.

I have been driving one of these for over 12 months. I have been averaging 5.7 per 100 Km and I think the car is pretty quiet.

I went to my local dealer and he told me a 90 month wait. I thought he was kidding, he wasn’t.

My parents bought one and I've got the chance to drive it a few times. I think it's a great car. Smooth and very comfy.

I've bought a Nissan X-Trail Ti and got it straight away. No waiting for petrol version. Loving it. Greatly improved interior.

Everyone calls it a boring color but i have always liked Metallic Silver body contrasting with Black bits and pieces.

We grabbed our Cruiser hybrid in June last year. It’s a great car, save for a few minor issues, nothing mechanically just little things that eat into the enjoyment behind the wheel.
The 2.5L can be at times quite raspy and the CVT is a little flat, the AWD hybrid however adds a lot of positives to balance out its quirks and even at overtaking speeds it seems to have ample pull. There’s a bit of wind noise around the top of the A pillar after 80kph and the centre armrest/console is as flimsy as a politician’s promise, it creeks like an old boat if you rest your arm on it.
Consumption after 9000 km is at 5.8L, not what was stickered but not terrible either. It’s considerably less expensive to service and insurance wasn’t too expensive either. Around town it zips along comfortably, quietly and seems quite sure footed. All in all we’re very happy with this vehicle but it would be a different experience now considering how much they’ve jumped up in price 😮.

Dealerships should go. They're the bane of the car industry

No review ever mentions the best thing Toyota put in their cars. Radar cruise that if you hold the button down for 3 seconds it switches to regular cruise control. So many Toyota don’t know that feature and it’s how every manufacturer should do it

I have a 2006 toyota camry. Really loud and bumpy to ride. I went for a test drive last week in 2024 toyota rav4 and felt like i was i was standing still. Quiet and smooth compared to my older car. So im happy

Those brakes are absolutely alright..thats how the regenerative brakes work. Nothing to worry about that noise.

Noticed that you have it on normal driving mode put it on sports mode.
For an hour long drive you can get around 40% electric. Have the battery view on the dash and you will get a better performance.

Worst thing about the RAv4 hybrid, by the time you get them, you forgot you ordered them

Paul has a preference for other car brands over Toyota. He tends to focus on areas where Toyota can improve when reviewing their cars.

I recently purchased my first ever Toyota and I’ll never go back to anything else!

My dad ordered back in late 2021 and just got his two weeks ago- just shy of two years! And add to that almost $5000 in price increase and almost $4000 less on his trade in. Toyota Australia treat buyers like a dogs breakfast.

I've had mine for a month now. It's in Adventure trim (I believe it would be an equivalent of Edge in Australia). Mild offroading on snow is alright, the sound insulation could be a bit better but also not too bad. I'm averaging at 6.5 liters per 100km, but the eco mode in it actually works. If eco is engaged and I'm trying to save the fuel, I'm able to get about 4 liters per 100km.

My 2023 GXL is doing great. Serves me and my family just the way it should be.have driven 11000 km and my fuel consumption is at 5.3/100, which is brilliant. Paul, the EV mode makes absolute sense to me as I drive 45 mins (each way) in the freeway every morning (rush hour) to work and it is nice to see the mode kick in often, reducing the fuel consumption by a good margin. Reliability, ownership costs, and resale value are the three biggest factors that makes me a happy Toyota customer.
