Crysis 2 Remastered PS5/Xbox Series S/X + ALL Last-Gen Versions Tested!

Wow, so we're looking at a total of NINE versions of Crysis 2 tested here - the PS360 generation renditions, Xbox One, PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and last but certainly not least, PlayStation 5. There's a ton of data to wade through here but fundamentally the story is good: Crysis 2 Remastered is excellent, and a huge improvement over its predecessor.

I actually liked the stylized look of the original crysis 2 release. It had a very flashy summer blockbuster feel to it.

Not knowing what to compare too didn't matter at the time. I have the fondest memories of Crysis 2 on the Xbox 360. I played that game a ton. It had great multiplayer. I also played parts in 3D when that was a thing that generation haha

Still on PS3 I highly enjoyed the game. I don't know why, im 29 now so I was younger then? Or was before I built my PC and now am spoiled with insane fps.

I completed crysis 2 numerous times on xbox 360 and loved every minute of it. Also never found stealth to be difficult.

Crysis 2 on X360 was the first Crysis I have played and it was a blast. Also the soundtrack is excellent and one of the best in videogame history.

It's funny, When I first played Crysis 2 (on a beastly PC for the time) I thought it was far less impressive than the original. After playing thru all 3 titles now about 3 times each over the years I'd say that Crysis 2 is actually my favourite.

I actually prefer the color grading, look and intense depth of field present in the original crysis 2. It just looks very cinematic and it reminds of a cooler time in the game and film industry.

I'm really looking forward to playing these tomorrow. I played them on the 360 back in the day so it'll be nice to experience it the way it was meant to be. That said I would really like to see what critics could do if they were developing exclusively for the next Gen. Systems and could take advantage of all the features and not have to worry about any kind of scaling down for the older platforms.

I like Crytek's use of svogi here for more natural lighting but the darker areas of the game are way too much bright now. It'd be neat to see Crysis 4's levels being built with svogi beforehand.

Crysis 2 is just the Best!! Always felt like a darker Halo, it's good to see it finally running at 60fps on a Console after all these years!

I'm still impressed with how good the PS3/X360 version looked, I remember when I was playing it back on 360 when it came out and blown away with the graphics and the framerate wasn't really something I noticed back then.

Man I remember playing this on my PS3 back in the day when I was 17! I thought the graphics, and performance, were amazing!
