How to Divide, Plant and Grow Hostas in Pots

Hostas are a wonderful plant to grow in pots. We look at how to dig and divide them, plant them and fertilise these plants sometimes called the Plantain Lily.

Once planted in a container or pot, hostas need to fed regularly with a liquid fertiliser or slow release fertiliser.

Pay attention to watering them over summer. In containers hostas will need to be repotted and divided every 3 - 4 years.
