Huge NERF to orange essence (sad)

One of the main ways to get or farm orange essence has been nerfed

A tip: If you have all the emotes, just re-roll the one that can't be disenchanted and then you can disenchant it for OE

But what if you have all the available emotes? You just reroll it to the ones you already have until there are new ones?

The MSI 2023 emotes are not directly disenchantable because they are not part of the regular hextech pool. Being in the hextech pool gives them a value of 350 RP and 175 OE. For example, the 2022 / 2023 capsule emotes are in the hextech loot pool and they can be disenchanted. However, this year the MSI capsule works differently than last year MSI and Worlds. For example during Worlds 2022 unless you were unlucky and opened more than one at the same time, you could not get duplicate emotes, so you would never have the non-disenchantable emotes. But after getting everything, you would start to get only 2022 esport capsules which contained the emotes that you could disenchant.

I really only wanted a specific emote and that was the "It was me" emote that you could get back in 2020. It was a reward for watching 15 games and from then I've gotten all emotes but It seems like it isn't obtainable.
Wish they would allow us to get old stuff because I just started playing lol back then and had no idea about esports.

Orange essence is hard enough to come by as is, and after getting all of the esports emotes you want (or even finishing an emote collection) what do we do? Having the option just seems like the best option for players

Although I do prefer emotes to ward skins and profile icons, I do prefer to disenchant them, since orange essence is kinda hard to farm.

It is already hard enought to gain Orange Essence as a casual player, now it is even worse. Same goes for Blue Essence.

The excel spreadsheet at Riot Games keeps changing its mind for which decision will increase their profits by 0.0002%. It's honestly ridiculous that they're spending so much thought on such a niche feature as disenchanting esports drops, while a ton of other things go completely neglected.

I got a regular light blue esports capsule from watching TFt during worlds and that emote was still able to be disenchanted. Worth it to keep watching when the regional leagues start back up for those capsules.

btw they also disabled esports emotes being rerolled for free emotes a while back, idk if there was a post on it. stopped watching esports bc that lol
