The Nubia Alpha Wrist Phone with it's flexible display is really pushing the boundaries of what a wearable can be, and although it's a pretty bad time to use now, it certainly has potential.

I think they should make one where the screen wraps most of the way around your wrist so you can use it looking at the inside of your wrist too. Would definitely be more comfortable for video calls and the adjustable strap could easily go at the bottom of the wrist where you can't comfortably look at anyway

"By definition close enough that you could easily reach out and touch it..." You're Canadian, you know what winter is like. Being able to navigate the menus and activate stuff without having to take off my gloves is a huge boon and a rarity in this "capacitive touchscreens only" post-apocalyptic nightmare world.
