What's wrong is that the war happened in the 1850s and not the 1870s and the Photo in the slot is from the France Prussian war not the Crimean war

For the first photo of a person, it’s really hard to make out but he’s on the lower left. The photo was taken at a busy street but since the exposure time was over 10 minutes, the commute wasn’t caught.

The man in the photo was getting his shoes shined and he stood long enough to be caught within the exposure time.

The city where the photo was taken was very busy at that time, but the photo needed 10 minutes of exposure so everyone walking made it so that the streets looked empty even thought they were not. The one man getting his shoe polished coincidentally came just in time!
