PS5 Rest Mode Issue?!?

When it comes to console launch issues here's how I look at it, if doesn't happen to your console it doesn't mean it doesn't happen to someone else. It's just some people got a defective or there's some weird anomaly with software and there's some kinks that needs to be worked out. It's just something you gotta deal with in being an early adopter. But don't let that take away your excitement for the console cuz it's like Christmas morning for all of us(at least those who copped one)

I use rest mode religiously with no issues. Some people may have instances of games crashing in the background or something weird like that but rest mode has been solid.

What the hell’s this “rest mode issue?” My PS5’s booted up from rest mode several times now, with a game currently suspended.

Maybe it only happen to certain console or the person who have the console is extremely unlucky.

used rest mode since launch not a single issue. its in rest mode now i never turned my ps4 off so i wont turn off me ps5..

If you want to recreate the problem you have to start the Spider-Man and then going to rest mode....

It is funny that you bring this up. I watched the video this morning then picked up my dualsense, pressed the PS button, and my PS5 didn't wake up at all. Tried my second controller and still nothing. The controllers wouldn't even connect to the PS5 with the USB cable.

Ok today it didn’t want to turn on, and It was in rest mode i was so scared

My ps5 was working great 1st 2 weeks even in rest mode but for some reason this week when it goes into rest mode it won't turn back on. What I end up doing is switching off the surge protector then switch it back on and the ps5 works again. If it goes into rest mode it will power on but either u get a black screen or I get all these weird colors that pop up and the power button on the console doesn't respond like it freezes up. Not sure why this is happening but the quick fix is basically to cut power from the system and plug it back in. Hopefully sony fixes this.

My ps5 is all good, so far no issues with rest mode ect. now the only issue i have encounter has been with cod modern war f. i installed the game disk ps4, i installed all of the packs multiplayer ect. i can play all day, however if i close the game and boot back up, the game will say you have a duplicate game installed and you have to delete one 🤣🤣🤣 ps5 game needs to be installed wtf sony 😡 .

Do you got a external hard drive hooked up on the PS5? Any issues with it?

The only issues that I had with anything not working is when my external HDD was connected. I removed that and every issue disappeared.

The issue is because the ps5 is in power saving mode in rest mode
