It seems like they need more proof my children exist every year. #mommacusses

The weird part is school never remind you before the deadline, but they do. Remind you afterwards that you forgot it.

😂 I was always dumbfounded by how I had to fill out the same papers and turn them in every yr only for them to NEVER update the phone number or address. 🤯

"We look forward to educating your children." Anyone else hear the ominous music?

When mine were in school it always seemed to happen that the school would lose one of the forms I sent and they would then ask me why I hadn't turned it in.
I got tired of that and then scanned everything into a PDF document for each kid. Then when they inevitably said I didn't turn it in, I would email them the whole file telling them that I knew something was going to be "lost" and they can have everything all over again. After a couple years, my kid's forms finally stopped getting "lost".
At the very end of their time in the public school the district had switched over to mostly online/digital forms. I don't miss those days at all!

I felt this to my core... My daughter is enrolled in Lifescapes, for their Summer program. She needed a physical, TB blood work, and her SS card, I had a questionnaire to fill out... It was so stressful, but I have it all in order so hopefully next year it'll be an easier process.

The “this has always been our policy” statement when I know it has absolutely not been never fails to tick me off. 😂

This reminded me of when my ex was told one time by some government employee: "I need proof of birth."
He looked down, gestured to his body, and said, "I'm standing right here. You can see me, right? I've obviously been born." 🤣🤣

"This is how its always been" is the icing on the cake, they always say that and i feel like its either something theyre told to say, or they say it to avoid the conversation

I truly think these folks sit around a bonfire, smoking who knows what, thinking up crazier and crazier requirements for parents.

Your shirt collection range is amazing. First noticed the Runaways/Joan Jett one (plus others) & now The Famous Nirvana Hanson shirt!!! It still fits my chaotic music taste perfectly after all these years. Thank you for being your awesome self! #90skid #fanson

My husband was so focused on getting our daughter enrolled in one of the public charter schools for kindergarten, he fully and completely forgot to enroll her in the public school if she didn't get in. He realized he'd missed all the deadlines to do so when he got the email that she was wait-listed. Thankfully she got accepted into his preferred school.

I'm enrolling my first child and I feel this. Being able to do enrollment online helped a little bit there were so much to submit.

We didn’t even know enrollment had opened. We asked in June, July last year, then august. Both times they said enrollment wasn’t open yet and the first day hadn’t been determined, but we’d receive a phone call once it was. Then they called us September first to let us know we missed enrollment, but we could do the entire process and bring everything in that day and our kid could still start on the second. 20 documents and 2 hours later we had our kid enrolled. 🙃

I just scanned bith certificates, marriage license and divorce decree, went to the Drs office to request immunization history AND went to the school district offices to sign papers to get their IEP/ERTs. That's just TODAY! Yesterday I got other documents and tomorrow I make MORE calls and scan yet more DOCUMENTS!

I still remember helping my mom fill out our pink emergency cards when there were 6 of us in school. She’d do one and I’d copy it. She was way too busy, plus she also fostered infants at the time. This was in the 70’s and 80’s

I went to this problem in middle school years ago and my mom just told them she’s not doing all of that and that Monday morning she was dropping me off at the front either way I was enrolled or not 😂😂😂

I had to have it out with mine. We moved in January, house is under my husbands name because we were on an extreme deadline to move, if i went on the mortage we'd be hit with a worse apr because i have a lesser credit score etc. Well he's not on their birth certificate. Because of this they refused to acknowledge that i lived in our house. Because it wasn't under my name and it could only be me who registered them and my marriage certificate didn't stand as notice that we would be living in the same house. So because i wasn't on the mortage, i didn't live here.... i had to draft a 'rental' agreement with my HUSBAND where he agreed to let me live with him for money so i could register my kids for school...

So true. My daughter was waitlisted to get into a charter school. Since this happened I enrolled her into public school. Last week we found out she got into the school she was waitlisted in (mind you the email came to me and my husband at 1 am). The nextday at 9 am sharp the school called my husband asking where the paperwork was 🤦‍♀️. We just moved and everything is in boxes. We got the school to give us another week.
