A lot of people feel like they need a relationship to be happy. The talk comprises of interviews of people in various stages of their lives and how they feel about needing relationships.

Tyleen is a seventh grade student who lives in Utah. Tyleen sees many people around her in relationships, including her siblings, which talk incessantly about them. Tyleen wonders: Why do people feel like they need a relationship to be happy?

I think most of people want to be in a relations when They feel loneliness or just tired and want someone to talk to or someone makes them feel different Im not that kind of person who believes that having a girl or boyfriend is the best thing in the world but nowadays I really want to have somebody, when I start to ask myself to figure it out why I want that I immediately remembered how lonely and tired I feel, It will be great to have someone to talk to and encourage me and someone to kiss, this is the reason in my opinion about why I really want to be in a relations .

I am the opposite. I’m 34. Ive never been in a relationship. Just dating. I feel i need to be OUT of a relationship and never in one, to be happy. The thought of being in a relationship, makes me queasy. But I am trying hard to break out my comfort zone.

Don't need anybody. U can make urself special and safe. U r more safe when u r alone or with only urself bcz u know urself more then him .so u can treat urself special more then he treats you. Thnku

Good girl! I have never had even the slightest urge to be married or in a romantic relationship but decided to try lately to see if I can learn why I am built differently. Having relationships only solidified my belief that some people really are happier alone. Point blank. I can love from afar just as easily. Idk why I am different and I feel kinda guilty bc of it but it is what it is and always has been as even as a small child I never understood my friends fantasies of one day being married. I just didn't get it at all and wondered if something was wrong with me but I secretly consider myself lucky to have this mindset.
