C4D Tutorial: EASIEST way to import illustrator file into cinema 4D

Download FREE plugin: 'ArtSmart' to import logo and make it 3d on the go. Its a free plugin from a website called cineversity. Create a free account get access to the file.

This problem happened with C4D R19
Sometimes it misreads the data. To get round this, when you import into Cinema 4D, deselect "Connect Splines" and "Group Splines" Then you'll get a lot of splines. But them in a NULL, use a CONNECT object and put that in the EXTRUDE.

My problem is like the problem with the first issue. My illistrator file won't spit out the exstrude cleanly. Also I think I compunded my paths with the other layers so it's giving me more than what I want to look at. Lastly it won't cap my objects off

thanks but not import original size....sample; a 10cm document in AI, when I import C4D it's look diffeent size? how to fix?

When I do file>merge nothing happens. I am using r18 and I have saved the illustrator file as version 8 also? Thanks to whoever sees this. Am I doing something wrong in illustrator I have only been using it for a few weeks.

When I use the plugin and select my .ai file it doesn't show, in the messages area it says "INFO: File Type: ai pdf
