After recording this the devs changed it so you have to destroy more than one wasp nest in order to anger the wasps and trigger the cutscene.

You dont get it from choping the nest you get it from, "wasp want you gone"

You have to take down 2 wasp nests around the yard and possibly kill a few wasps to receive a message stating that the wasps want you gone. After that, you need to sleep to get the cutscene of the area being opened.

Also, if you have a spicy staff or use a bomb, you can use that instead to destroy the nests the first time. They will respawn, but won't be destroyed as easily after.

You need to break two wasp nests and kill two wasps. You should get a notification saying “the wasps want you gone” and once you sleep the cutscene will play and the box will open. It IS NOT a compost bin, it is a storage box. Be careful as there’s a black widow nest where if you break an egg sack you’ll get the wittle widow king trinket, aswell as termites and dust mites sprawled about certain parts. Do not drop the TAYZ.T arm as you can climb it to get a milk molar, it makes your life so much easier, if you do drop it, don’t worry, you can still parkour up to get the milk molar. There’s also a field station with a document in it, a milk molar next to the black widow in her den and a BURG.L chip inside of a hamster ball, as well as a SCA.B under some books in a tucked away area. There’s one final milk molar on top of some books that requires you to tuft jump onto them to get it

Any NG+ I enter and see the text “The wasp hive as been disturbed..” I immediately think of “⚠️ You have alerted the horde”

It took me ages to figure out how to get the cutscene and it annoyed me so much when i realised they updated it, finding those other nests were not easy, i kept getting lost somehow but i eventually made it😂😂

This update has given me some hope for the game. I know their team is small and Microsoft may be a little difficult to work with especially with a project that isnt averaging tens of thousands of players but this is the first game in a while that I genuinely enjoyed. The only issue is I have played through it dozens of times and all though I love it, it gets pretty stale especially when the harder enemies are just reskins of easier bugs and I have their attack patterns memorized. Unfortunately even with a new bug type and boss I personally don’t think it’s enough to justify a FULL play through, even though the quality of life stuff is incredibly cool. I think I’ll wait til a few more bigger updates. However that seems like it will happen in a year or not at all. :(
