Plot twist: His dad was never switched with Spring Bonnie. Spring Bonnie couldn't fully go through the portal/ballpit on his own and needed help so he made the kid hallucinate his father looked liked him which is why no one else saw it. That way he would come back and try to save his supposed real dad, not knowing he was helping Spring Bonnie get free while using an illusion to look like his dad and ending up killing his real father by getting him hanged on the ropes.
