So from what I understand E I’m hearing project treble makes android P available immediately for all devices that are compatible with treble but all the oem specific stuff is separate so updates can always be on time . Which explains why maybe so many manufacturers offered the beta versions this year .

Yes, you're absolutely correct. The brightness effect has been reduced. It's not a bug. It's then new feature to optimize the battery draining and balancing the light effects on the device display.

according to google its self...the reduced the brightness to save battery but u have to crank up the slider to make it brighter which effect the battery go figure..for me what it was bright on 50 percent now is so dim i have to push it to 80 something.one of the p features i dont like only this one tho

After I updated to Pie, I began getting additional daily updates to my already updated Pie. Anyone else get these too?

I loved the Oreo update !!, But this one doesn't resonate much with me, while I do find the A.I incorporation more useful and practical, the look of the interface doesn't hit the right notes for me. And I too prefer the buttons over the gestures but will probably give it a try once I upgrade to P(ie). Excited to see what Huawei and HTC will add to this with their skins, IMO they seem to have a really good idea of what to add as a skin .

I'm currently signed up with the Android P beta program and I still haven't received my put on Android 9 update do you know where I can find it already checked in the system update settings

i dunno with adaptive brightness on on 50 percent ur screen looks so bright

I don't want another application put over android, android kept the bank button and multi windows button for those reasons, now android is doing just like the iPhone x, plus my phone can already do the swipe transition now before this update.

I'm not very happy at the moment. Downloaded pie and so far battery life is much worse as compared to the last beta. Not cool

Android 9 is so boring. Zero cool features, zero creativity. It shouldn't be called 9. This is 8.1.1 update only. Sad, but Google has no idea what new features they could provide for Android users
