Upgrade LG V20 To Official Android 9 Pie | English Guide

Follow the exact same method to install the official Android 9 Pie on your LG V20. Although the Firmware is official one but sometimes some devices gets stuck in the boot loop. To fix Boot loop problem the only solution would be to Factory Resetting the phone. So, it is recommended to do a backup of your important data just in case.

There are many models of the V20. You may want to specify which H9XX it is. Most H918 and earlier AFAIK use Oreo (Android 8.x). Forcing 9.x may cause bad things to happen.

Does my phone have to have a sim card in order for this to work. My LG V20 gives me an error every time I try to upgrade. In the LG Up the message says: "The file path(s) checked is (are) not selected." Even though I select the file and upgrade... Thank you,

I recently bought a F800L model on android pie, the only 2 great things are the UI and the battery life. Other than that, it's buggy and second screen doesn't work properly. Pie isn't designed for this phone! And if you have a Korean model, you are stuck with the dual clock on Korean time!
If you have a model stuck on android 8, be thankful! as it's the best version. I'll be going back to my H990ds model.
