Pruning hydrangeas doesn't have to be confusing. Panicle hydrangeas are some of the easiest to prune and will almost always bloom for you no matter how you prune them.

Great to see you, Ambrose! I’m glad you shared this video. So many people are afraid to give their hydrangeas a good pruning, but the plant really benefits from it. Thank you.

Oh my goodness getting out in the garden is getting so close. I’m waiting just a little bit longer only because I’ve been in the hospital with Covid. You guys make us watching get so antsy!

Thank you for another great video Ambrose! I am ITCHING for spring to come. I do have little daffodil shoots coming up, which is encouraging. I am looking forward to our first spring with our garden partially planted out. 💗

I would love a bulb tour from you guys later this year.

Great video! Any tips on encouraging thicker growth? Our limelights tend to send a few blooms up high and are a touch sparse in the middle.

Great video. I pruned mine way to early. I did it in October. Oops I should’ve waited

Were you pruning for size control or to strengthening the stems? Why 2/3? Thanks in advance

Hi Ambrose, I’m a brand new gardener in zone 7b. I planted my very first hydrangea paniculata (strawberry vanilla I think it’s called)at the beginning of November. I was just wondering, because it’s only been in the ground 3 1/2 months, should I leave it this year to let it get established or prune it anyway?
I’m so excited to have found your channel and to be able to garden along with you! I’ve learnt so much from you and Angie! If I can create a garden half as beautiful as yours, I’ll be very happy!
