Just a note: Mine didn't cut straight at first. The blade wandered to the right about 3/16 of an inch and more rapidly came back to center at the other side. The problem turned out to be the left side guide rail was bent downward; apparently I had dropped it on the end when unboxing. I tried pulling up on it but it still wasn't right. I had to remove the guide rail and correct it at the bend. Note to self: don't drop tools.

For those who wants to cut more than 2 inches thick, you can get a few bucks to get a piece of pine board.
