ALL FAMILIES NEED TO HAVE A SECRET CODE WORD or PHRASE THAT IS NEVER WRITTEN DOWN, ONLY SHARED VERBALLY.. If the scammer can't provide it, hang up and call the police or FBI depending on the situation or if there is someone else in the household, have them call the authorities while you keep them on the phone.

I have for years now under no circumstances open my door for anyone that knocks on my door. I have to be expecting the person or I don’t answer it.

To each his own but to everyone….please consider keeping your kids’ faces off social media. It’s so scary out there.

This is such a public service. My husband’s grandmother has been scammed with the kidnapping scam, as well as one where they said they needed money sent bc my husband had been in a car accident, etc, etc. Be safe out there, everyone!

The IRS or Social Security NEVER call anyone. They only communicate by mail.

Wow. What great timing for this video. Last month my mother got her entire checking account wiped out by a scammer. My aunt recently got $500 stolen out of her checking account by a scammer. Last week I had a scammer message me pretending to be my mother trying to get me to apply for some kind of $90, 000 government benefit. I feel surrounded by this garbage. It's becoming epidemic. Thank you so much for the warnings!! What is being done about this???? Wow. What is this world coming to.

Thank you Brittany! This was an excellent video so many need to see! It seems these scams are just everywhere now relentlessly and it’s devastating to people so I will be forwarding it to my parents and friends. ❤

NEVER EVER EVER open your door to someone you do not know, DO NOT care if they say it is the police, legitimate police will understand!!! I grew up in NY and learned this very early on ... I in fact had a legitimate office come to my door very shortly after moving in to my present home, he showed me a badge and I said. "I do not care what you show me, I am not opening my door', , I was alone at the time (even if I was not alone) and I called the local precinct.. he was in fact an officer, and the officer on the phone said that I did the right thing anyway

The fake cop one is the most scary because if they have a fake police car/siren/light they can pull you over, and in order to ask for their badge information, you would have to roll down the window. If they have a gun, they could easily take advantage of you. I hate that cops drive unmarked cars sometimes.

Had a guy from Nigeria call me once and say I had a distant uncle who died in a car accident and I was to be inherited 7 million US dollars and all he neededwas my bank account info. I told him since I was in the Will, I authorize him to purchase 1st class tickets and deliver the money directly to me and I will give him 1 million dollars for his troubles. CLICK! HUNG UP!😂😂😂

There is a scam on fb I have seen with two different friends on fb. They post a bunch of stuff for sale because someone in their family just passed away and they say for them to hold the item the have to have a deposit… I messaged the one lady because I knew her fairly well and I could tell by the conversation that it wasn’t her.

My parents had a person call their home saying (and sounding) that she was their grand daughter. Crying that she was in a bad place and needed money. Fortunately, my dad saw through the scam. This was over 10 years ago. I think penalties need to be stiffer for most crimes. Perhaps it will become unprofitable for the perpetrator to try. Thanks for your information. I learn something every time I watch.

My son who has mild learning difficulties fell victim to the Telegram scam and his bank account was emptied £380 pounds! He was suspicious but the scammer told him not to tell me as would spoil the surprise! Disgusting! Xx

My Dad died a couple months ago and the very next day someone called his house, left a vm and said he was the mortuary and he was working on his death certificate. He said he needed some information to complete it. They wanted date of birth and ss#. I immediately called the mortuary I was working with and they said it’s a huge scam going around. How sad for people pray on people who have just passed 😢

I occasionally get an email or text saying there was a problem with a delivery. Either, I know I don't have a delivery or I'll go straight to the company where I've placed an order and track my delivery. I immediately block a suspected scammer without opening the message and never click any links.
