YO! -- Youth Own -- The Movie

Shot entirely on the GoPro by young people with disabilities in RCIL's youth leadership program, "YO! -- Youth Own -- The Movie," is an open captioned overview of our group, and a video which will be used to recruit new members. With subthemes: Connect, Learn, Service, and Leadership, you'll walk with members of YO! as they discover goals for their lives, new meaning in providing service to each other, and ways to step out and lead which they had never even imagined. Features the music of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, used with permission of the artists. The final image in the film is a still photo of a YO! member in front of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, in Washington, DC, and the quote from Dr. King reads: "Male a career of humanity, commit yourself to the noble struggle for equal rights. You will make a greater person of yourself, a greater nation of your country, and a finer world to live in." YO!'s members, future leaders of the disability rights movement, take this to heart.
