There's a better way. Don't use alcohol on your plastics, some will be damaged by it. Use cooking oil instead, any kind should do. Just rub a generous amount on the sticker and scrub away with your fingernails until you don't feel any more sticker glue coming off. Rinse with uncomfortably warm (NOT hot) water then saturate a wet cloth with soap from a bar (don't use liquid soap), use the soapy cloth to get the oil and sticker residue off your hands and the plastic. Check for any glue you might have missed, if there is any just spot treat it by dipping a finger in cooking oil and using that oiled finger to scratch away any remaining bits of glue, wash like before until the plastic squeaks. You won't get that squeak with dish soap.

You can replace the rubbing alcohol with windex. Just let it sit a little longer. Or smear vaseline on it for some hours or overnight and it wipes right off the next day.

Orange or citrus oil!!!!
Not only for stickers but beautiful and helpful for dirt too!!!

Even fresh paint!!! When you normally would use paint thinner!

if you use a bit of oil on a paper towel ot will really help reduce the stickiness and remove the glue when rubbing hard and then use the rubbing alcohol to finish up.

I'm giving up on removing the labels on plastic containers not worth it. The eventually the stickiness stuff comes back, they always look dirty. So I'm going to try to get food that comes in glass containers that I can remove the label it's much easier and stay cleaner longer. Plus the glass shines more than plastic.
